In the 27th issue of Dallas Observers’ Best of Dallas 2023 issue names Arwa Yemeni Coffee as ‘Best Cafe’. Dallas Observer is a renowned digital and print publication based in Dallas, TX. It’s sought-after annual publication of Dallas Observer serves as a snapshot of the best the large metropolitan city of Dallas has to offer.
Arwa Yemeni Coffee was founded in 2021 by Nora Soofi, Yazan Soofi, and Susan Shihab and served as a way to teach people about the Yemeni culture and its strong mark on coffee and its origins. Arwa Yemeni Coffee was instantly successful and supported by the Dallas community, serving as a third space for many. Its original aesthetic pulls from elements across Yemen’s architecture and terrain. It serves coffees, teas, and food items that are prepared in the methods long-seen in Yemen.
